... the photographer behind Rooted Vision Photography. I'm a mama, a storyteller, a nature lover, and someone who has always been fascinated by the little things that make people uniquely themselves.
As a mama, I have a great understanding and respect for the balance that is needed when working with each age. Which is why my sessions are family led, allowing personalities to shine and connections to be showcased. Every stage comes with amazing qualities that deserve to be celebrated, because as cliche as it is to say- it all goes by way too fast!
For as long as I can remember, documenting life's moments has been important to me. My dad always had a camcorder, and my grandpa always made sure to have his flash bulbs in stock for special events. By the time I was a teenager, it was important to me too- and as the years pass, I am eternally grateful for all the memories we've captured together.
So, What is a Session With Me Actually Like?
You don't have to know how to pose.
I'll guide you when you need direction.
Your kids don't have to behave perfectly.
Movement, curiosity and personality are part of the story.
We don't have to rush.
Sometimes the best photograph happens in the pause.
You don't have to perform for the camera.
I want you to recognize yourselves in your images.

Your family doesn't have to look like anyone else's. Your children don't have to behave like anyone else's. You don't have to know how to pose, and you certainly don't have to arrive as a perfectly coordinated version of yourselves.
I believe there's something beautiful in individuality. My job is to notice it, make space for it, and create photographs that feel like your family—not someone else's idea of what a family portrait should be.
