When I photograph families, my focus is on capturing the real, unposed moments that make your family unique.


The goal is always to inspire genuine smiles and create fond memories that will last a lifetime. Looking back at the images should invoke emotion and a sense of nostalgia that sparks conversation.

Frequently asked questions

What should we wear?

 

I recommend soft, neutral, and timeless tones that photograph beautifully and keep the focus on connection rather than clothing.


Before your session, I'll provide a styling guide to help you choose outfits that feel cohesive and comfortable. If you're unsure, I'm always happy to help you plan.


Best practice: Avoid bold logos, neon colors, and heavy patterns unless intentionally styled.

 

Are there additional costs?

 

Full sessions receive all viable edited images.

Special events and mini sessions include a specific amount of images of your choice with option to purchase more individually or upgrade to full gallery access at a discount.


Printed artwork is also available: albums, framed wall art, and heirloom prints in your attached gallery shop.

You choose only what you love after viewing your gallery.


There are no hidden fees. No add-on costs.

Want to bring props- feel free! Want a picture with your dog, or a quick one with mom to thank her for helping you get ready for this session- let's do it!

When will we receive our photos?

 

Your full gallery is typically delivered within 2-3 weeks after your session. During busy seasons, delivery may extend slightly, but I always prioritize thoughtful, high-quality editing over rushed turnaround.

 

Where do sessions take place?

 

Sessions are held either on-location or in-studio depending on the collection you book. Location suggestions and styling guidance are provided based on your session type, vision and conversation during consultation.

 

What if my children don't cooperate?

 

That's completely expected - and honestly, it often leads to the most honest and beautiful images.


I work with children in a patient, playful way and never expect perfection or stillness. Movement, emotion, and real connection are what create meaningful photographs.

What if we need to reschedule?

 

Life happens - I completely understand. One reschedule is allowed with adequate notice, and I'll do my best to find an alternative date that works for both of us.


If the session is outdoor and there are dangerous weather conditions, including wind or lightning, rescheduling may be initiated by the photographer. The safety and comfort of the client is most important.

 

When does my gallery expire?

 

Full session galleries remain active for 6 months, giving you plenty of time to view, share, download your images, and purchase heirloom gifts through the attached gallery shop at your convenience.


Event and mini session galleries remain available for 90 days to select favorites, download included images, and purchase additional images or heirloom gifts from the gallery shop.

What is the social media policy?

 

Your privacy matters deeply to me. During the booking process, your questionnaire will include a simple option allowing you to choose whether your session images may be shared for social media, advertising, or portfolio use.


No awkward conversations or explanations needed — your preferences will always be respected.
